Bio

I grew up in Kaunas, Lithuania. Ever since high school I've been moving between London, Oxford, Princeton, New York, and LA. You might have figured out the trend - I tend to constantly move west.

Right now I am working on my PhD thesis in Space Physics at the Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences at UCLA. Los Angeles is a city that I fell in love with, and I couldn't imagine beeing anywhere else!

Teaching

I'm a teaching assistant for UCLA's CLUSTER 70 course (2017-2019). I'll be posting any useful simulations for the course here as the time progresses.

1. Relativistic Trains.

Click here to see a relativistic Train Simulation! Notice how the train/rail tracks spatially contract due to the relativistic speed. What can you tell about the simultaneity of events?

2. Electric Charges and Fields.

Play around with the electric charges, and see what kind of fields they produce!

3. Circular Motion Vectors.

How does the acceleration vector look like in circular motion? Find out in this SIM!

Cycling

I race for Velo Club La Grange, LA's biggest cycling club with more than 400 members. LA is one the World's greatest cycling cities, with rich and beautiful scenery less than an hour away in almost every direction!
